Beth
Miller believes an organization's ability to tell a compelling
story is a make-or-break factor in its business success. She
counsels clients to raise the quality of their communications,
both internally and externally.
As
president of Spencer Grace Communications, Inc., Beth applies
innovative problem-solving skills to make change for clients
of all sizesfrom small, entrepreneurial groups to mammoth
firms that play in the global economy. While planning and
executing communication strategies for clients she implemented
a client education program for a consulting firm, conducted
a communication evaluation for a major retailer, developed
a quarterly publication for employees of a collectibles company,
and gave an energetic voice to an interior design firm's web
site and annual report. She also teaches courses in effective
business writing and editing.
Before
opening Spencer Grace, Beth was manager of internal communications
for Sears, Roebuck and Co., where she developed strategy and
managed execution for communication initiatives reaching more
than 300,000 associates. She also has worked as a marketing
manager, sales communication manager, and professional writer.

Amy
Hohulin
Amy Hohulin develops
and facilitates communication skills workshops including Presentation
Basics, Beyond the Basics, Communicating in Writing, Thinking
on Your Feet, Business Etiquette, Performance Management,
Supervisory Skills and Interviewer Training. In addition,
Amy preps executives for speeches and coaches leaders on communication
and people management issues.
Prior to her
career as a professional trainer, Amy spent 13 years at the
Leo Burnett Company. Amy worked on the Procter & Gamble and
McDonald's accounts before assuming the role of Vice President,
Recruitment Director for Account Management in 1993. In addition
to her role as Recruitment Director, Amy mentored new hires,
initiated a series of Transition to Work Guides later used
as a global model, and developed several workshops including
the agency's orientation program. In 1998, she became Vice
President, Manager of People Development Worldwide with responsibility
for training in the Chicago office (1,800+ employees).
Amy graduated
from the University of Illinois with high distinction in English
and a minor in Business Communication. She is a graduate of
Player's Workshop and The Second City Training Center. To
assist in her work with adult learners, Amy has taken graduate
education courses at DePaul University and completed her trainer
certification with Langevin Learning Services.
