Spencer Grace opened as a business
of one, and today Beth Miller is still the sole proprietor.
But the Spencer Grace team has grown to include several professionals
who share Beth's passion for excellent communication, as well
as her enthusiasm for
free agency as a way of work.
Members of our virtual team
maintain their business indpendence while gaining the comraderie
and collaboration of other communicators. Clients value the
Spencer Grace team's:
- Coverage. With specialties
ranging from writing and project management to training and
process design, Spencer Grace can address a wide range of
communication challenges. We
also support one another
when schedules get hairy or projects demand a second set of
eyes.
- Experience. We may
be free agents today, but Spencer Grace consultants hail from
responsible positions in respected companies. Our network
also includes entry-level interns and administrative support.
- Economy. Thanks to
its small-business structure, Spencer Grace delivers real-world
experience while holding consulting fees well below those
of large agencies.

Internships
From
time to time, Spencer Grace offers internship opportunities
to students or recent graduates who desire hands-on experience
in the communications field. The intern's primary responsibilities
are writing and editing content for both print and electronic
publication. Depending on the individual's interests, abilities
and schedule, the intern may attend client meetings, participate
in project planning and assist in administration of the business.

Income.
Interns
are paid on an hourly basis (hours vary from week to week,
depending on the company's project load). The hourly rate
is negotiable. Candidates should be prepared to discuss
their compensation history and expectations for pay.
Spencer Grace
is located in Wheaton, Illinois. The intern may use Spencer
Grace office space and equipment and/or work independently,
